The 8901A Modulation Analyzer combines the capabilities of several RF instruments to give complete, accurate characterization of modulated signals in the 150 kHz to 1300 MHz frequency range.

The 8901A very accurately measures AM, FM, and Phase modulation and recovers the modulation signal. It measures the RF frequency and RF power. Post detection filters allow the user to accurately characterize the modulation.

For increased frequency accuracy, an optional high stability timebase, option 002, is available. For quick confidence checks of system measurement accuracy, a built-in AM/FM Calibrator, option 010, is available. The 8901A measures AM and FM to 1% accuracy.
