The 42219A is a High Speed Serial Interface Module. The 42219A HSSI interface module gives both the Fireberd 4000 and 6000 the ability to test circuits and equipment operating from 56 kb/S to 52Mb/S.
The 42219A performs Bir Error Rate (BER) testing on out-of-service high speed links, emulates Data Transmission Equipment (DTE) at high speeds and allows Frame Relay testing with a load rate up to 8 Mb/S on a line rate from 56 kb/S to 52 Mb/S (Fireberd 6000 only, requires option 6010 or 6011).
