50 MHz to 40 GHz High Sensitivity Diode Power Sensor
The Rohde Schwarz NRV-Z15 is a 50 Ohm, 20 mW, 50 MHz to 40 GHz High Sensitivity Diode Power Sensor.
The NRV-Z Series of high-sensitivity power sensors based on zero-bias Schottky diodes open up the power range below 1μW down to the physical limit of 100 pW (−70 dBm).
In this range, from −70 dBm to −20 dBm, their behavior is much the same as that of thermal sensors, i.e. precise measurement of the average power of modulated signals, RMS weighting of harmonics and linearity independent of temperature and frequency.
The Rohde Schwarz VRZ-Z Series offers 15 different types of power sensors in all, covering the frequency range from DC to 40 GHz, and the power range from 100 pW (−70 dBm) to 30 W (+45 dBm).
In addition to thermal sensors, which are ideal as a high-precision reference for any waveform, diode sensors with a dynamic range of more than 80 dB are available.
Sensors in the NRV-Z family are compatible with Rohde Schwarz models NRVD, NRVS, URV35, and URV55.
