The 1850 and 1855 are stand-alone high performance 100 MHz differential amplifiers.
They are intended to act as signal conditioning preamplifiers for oscilloscopes, digitizers, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, providing differential measurement capability to instruments having only a single-ended input.
When used with an 1850 / 1855, most good quality oscilloscopes can obtain Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) and overdrive recovery performance that was previously unobtainable in any product.
