6 kV IR / DC Hipot / Surge Comparison / Winding Analyzer and Motor Tester
The iTIG II MINI-A 6kV is designed for those who need a basic tester that does Insulation Resistance (megohm), Hipot and High Frequency Surge Comparison tests. It can be used to test AC and DC motors and individual coils.
The MINI has two output leads and a ground lead for the motor frame.
Like all Electrom iTIG II surge testers and winding analyzers, the MINI-A is extremely easy to use. Once the operating voltage of the motor is entered, the high frequency surge test is done automatically. There is no need to set voltage range and sweep or time base settings, it is all done by the tester.
Tests such as Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Polarization Index (PI) and Hipot Step Voltage can be done. They must be manually operated, recorded, timed and calculated by the test operator.
This model stores up to 25 surge tests sequentially. The .csv test files can be manually transferred to a PC and used for analysis or reports. There is no report software with this model.
The iTIG II MINI can be used with the PP-II Power Packs, the lightest and most portable 24 kV and 30 kV winding analyzer set available. (Requires the PP-II option.)
