GPS Receiver Module

The GPS module provides an interface between Global Positioning System (GPS) reference signals and system electronics. The module provides +5 V dc power to the GPS antenna and receives a timing reference through the antenna connector.

The 1 PPS output signal from the GPS module is directed to the backplane for use by the PRS module as a synchronizing signal. RS232 serial communications are performed through the backplane.
