The S251A Site Master is a hand held S21 (transmission gain or loss), SWR/RL (standing wave ratio/return loss), and Distance-To- Fault (DTF) measurement instrument that includes a built-in synthesized signal source and an optional power monitor.
It uses a keypad to enter data and a liquid crystal display (LCD) to provide a graphical indication of S21, SWR, or RL over the selected frequency range.
The Site Master S251A displayed trace can be scaled and/or enhanced with settable frequency markers and/or a limit line. A menu option provides for an audible beep when the limit value is exceeded.
The S251A Site Master replaces stacks of heavy, expensive and complex equipment. Site Master's frequency domain reflectometry technique allows it to find problems before they become catastrophic faults, thereby creating a huge cost savings. The S251A Site Master includes Software Tools a Windows compatible software program. This software program provides many useful features including a database for measurements, Smith Chart S11, overlay for measurement comparison, data downloading to a PC and DTF calculation from return loss or SWR plots.
The Site Master S251A is the first test tool to provide the required accuracy, interference immunity and repeatability for transmission line/antenna commissioning and maintenance of today's wireless systems infrastructures.
The Site Master S251A applications include Cellular, ISM, PCS/PCN, and paging service. Safety service, Avionics, Two-way radio, and Military.
To permit use in low-light environments, the LCD can be back lit using a front panel key. Power monitoring and bias tee capabilities are available as options. The displayed trace can be scaled and/or enhanced with settable frequency markers and/or a limit line.
