The Desco 19445 is a portable, non-contact meter which has a 3.5 inch digit, 0.4 inch high LCD display that indicates surface voltage and polarity on objects up to 20 kV at a spacing of 1 inch with an accuracy of 5% on the displayed value.
The 19445 features push-button, auto-zero and hold functions, auto-ranging, low battery indicator, and a unique, flashing LED rangefinder that provides accurate positioning of the meter from the target.
An output jack with a standard phone plug connector is provided in order for the output of the instrument to be connected to an oscilloscope strip chart recorder, external meter or other device. This unit operates on a 9 V battery.
