The 5345A is a high performance, DC to 500 MHz Electronic Counter.
It uses a reciprocal counting technique to achieve impressive resolution compared to conventional counters. For example, a 1 MHz signal can be resolved to .002 Hz in one second. Resolution can be traded for measurement speed, making the 5345A an excellent choice for high speed data acquisition systems.
Measurement modes include frequency, period, time interval, time interval average, ratio, and start/stop modes. Optional plug-ins can be installed in the mainframe plug-in slot to expand the frequency range further.
The 5354A Automatic Frequency Converter extends the mainframe to 4 GHz and permits measurment of pulsed rf carriers.
The 5355A Automatic Frequency Converter and 5356-series Frequency Converter Heads extend the measuring range of the mainframe up to 18 GHz, 26.5 GHz, or 40 GHz and permit pulsed or CW measurements.
The 10590A Plug-in Adapter permits the use of 5245 Series plug-ins.
